TwoF, inc. was established November 2005 with the purpose of developing SupramolecularNanoStamping (SuNS), a proprietary technology for the production of DNA microarrays.

In 2006 TwoF obtained the exclusive license for SuNS technology from MIT, in exchange for stock, cash and royalties. TwoF then created an Italian subsidiary, Molecular Stamping (MS), responsible for process development and operations. MS was initially hosted by government R&D laboratories in two Northern Italian towns: Trento and Lodi . Both FBK (Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento ) and PTP (Parco Tecnologico Padano, Lodi) have procured research grants, laboratories and facilities and are now shareholders of Molecular Stamping. Currently the operations have been centralized in Trento laboratories.

TwoF retains the role of holding. Most financial, legal, investor, corporate and intellectual property-related functions are managed from New York, NY. TwoF is also the point of contact with US users, industry and research institutions.
